Animal Art - Wildlife
Here you will find a selection of my favourite wildlife and animal art. I love to draw vibrant and detailed drawings, combining coloured pencils with mixed media including PanPastels and Watercolour. I also use graphite to create bold yet detailed, black and white animal art depicting the beauty of wild animals and birds from around the world.
Timeless Soul
This drawing shows one of the wolves that live at Bear Woods, part of Bristol Zoo Project. The artwork is one of a series of limited palette pieces, this time using purple with black and white. Memories of Bran
This is a limited palette artwork, using just five coloured pencils and one PanPastel. It shows a Raven and the Moon, and is loosely inspired by the Welsh legend about Bran the Blessed. It's drawn in blue, black and white on black Colourfix Smooth paper. This artwork in now SOLD
Cwtches
A cute and colourful artwork of a baby giraffe cwtching up to their Mam! (Cwtch is Welsh for a cuddle). The vibrant green background was designed to complements the rich browns of the giraffes. Dran in coloured pencils and PanPastel on Pastelmat.

Fearless
The courage and silent strength of a lion. This animal drawing shows the direct gaze of a male lion. Drawn in coloured pencil on Pastelmat. Greetings cards are currently available in my Folksy shop, with limited editioned fine art prints coming soon!
Tiger
This vibrant animal art drawing shows a majestic Amur Tiger surveying all around him! Of all the big cats, I do love to draw tigers. Coloured pencil on watercolour paper, reference image kindly supplied by Lisa Ann Watkins.
Raphael
Kawabunga! When I saw the photo of this red eared slider turtle on the Wildlife Reference Photos website I just HAD to draw it! The artwork is drawn in coloured pencil on hot pressed watercolour paper. Greetings cards are now available from my Folksy shop.
Steely Gaze
I love lynx, they're so different from most of their feline relatives! This was my first full detailed drawing using graphite, I used a graphite block and a sponge to paint the misty out of focus background.
Midnight Swim
This wildlife drawing is a tonal study of a polar bear going for a swim. It's drawn in black and white coloured pencil and PanPastel on black Colourfix smooth. Reference image kindly supplied by Lisa Ann Watkins SOLD
It's a Cat and Mouse Game
This wildife artwork depicting an Amur tiger and harvest mouse was drawn for Sketch for Survival, 2022. This highlights the importance of conserving the smaller animals as well as the big ones! It's drawing in coloued pencil and PanPastel on Pastelmat.

Down the Bank
